Valentine's day card

I have a great card for Valentine's day!! Isn't she cute!!! I hope you feel inspired with this card with a Whimsie Doodles image. Her name is Honey Bee and you can find her in the Valentine section of the shop

These are the colors I used:

Skin (Copic markers): E000, E00, E11, E13, R20.
Hair: GB10, TN6, GB7, TN1.
Dress: IG5, IG3, PP3, PP1.
Jar:DG3, CG2, GB10, TN6, GB7, GB5.
Honey: GB7, GB5, LY3.
Shoes: GB7, GB5, LY3.
Wings:PP1, PP3, PP5.
Flower: DR2, LY2, OR1, PP5, PP3, PP1.

For the background I stamped some bees and honey jars. I think they are from Stampin' up. I colored them with Spectrum Noir markers. That cardstock wasn't very good with the markers so I didn't even try to blend colors. But I like the result. I hardly ever use patterned paper in my cards, mostly because I don't have much (and I don't want to buy it) and what I have is not as cute as I would like for my cards, so it was nice to make my own patterned paper. I will do that more.

I hope you like the card!!

  1. Hi, Patricia, what what an adorable little gal you've colored to perfection! I love her and how you've even designed your own designer paper with the little bees and honey pots. Such sweetness! It's so nice to have you Splitcoaststampers, and I look forward to seeing more of your beautiful work! Hugs!
